It took all year, but the biggest LBO of 2014 is here — and it’s PetSmart, being bought by British private equity firm BC Partners in a deal worth $8.7 billion dollars, or $83 a share. The company joins PetCo on private equity owners’ shelves. Exxon Mobil investors are getting something in their stockings this morning, and it finally isn’t coal: the company is looking at early-morning gains, as investors look for a bottom. And Jim Cramer is bullish on Lululemon, while it is trading a historical discount in the wake of a capital structure overhaul that brought a PE firm onto its board.
