A 23-year-old Palestinian American man is in recovery after being stabbed outside of the University of Texas in Austin following a pro-Palestinian demonstration that was calling for ceasefire in Gaza. NBC News’ Zinhle Essamuah reports that the suspect was charged with aggravated assault but community members are pushing for hate crime charges to be filed in the incident.
