The Oscar nominations are out and for a lot of films that means cash will be rolling in. BoxOfficeQuant.com found the more a film is associated with the Oscars, the more money it can make. That’s good news for both Gravity and American Hustle which lead the 2014 Oscar nominations with ten nods apiece. But just because Gravity has made more than $670 million at the box office — more than any of the other nominees in the Best Picture category — it doesn’t mean it will take home the coveted golden statue.
