OneStream Adds SensibleAI Tools to FedRAMP High Authorization – Unite.AI
ShareShareShareShareShare

OneStream said on September 2, 2026, that its SensibleAI Forecast and SensibleAI Studio capabilities have been added to the company’s FedRAMP High authorization, allowing federal agencies to run AI forecasting and model-building on their own financial data inside the authorized cloud boundary. The announcement applies to agencies running the OneStream platform in the OneStream Government Community Cloud.

FedRAMP, the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, is the US government’s standardized security assessment and authorization program for cloud services. The High baseline covers the government’s most sensitive unclassified data, including workloads involving law enforcement, emergency services, financial systems, and health systems. According to the FedRAMP Marketplace listing, the OneStream Cloud – High offering has held FedRAMP Certified status since January 24, 2025, under the Rev 5 framework through the agency authorization path, and it currently counts 17 authorizations.

What the Expanded Authorization Covers

Under the expanded authorization, agencies can apply SensibleAI Studio across planning, close, reporting and analysis processes, using it to identify anomalies, review performance and query financial and operational data, according to the company. OneStream said the addition is intended to let federal finance teams apply AI to sensitive financial data while staying within the security controls required for high-impact federal workloads, without exporting data to separate AI tools or maintaining external data pipelines.

The company described SensibleAI Studio as providing guided, no-code capabilities that finance teams can use to configure and run AI models, while allowing developers and partners to extend those capabilities for agency-specific needs. Forecasting and model outputs run on the same governed data, security and metadata used for the platform’s core financial processes, the company said.

OneStream also stated that the tools are designed to give finance teams visibility into forecast drivers, modeling assumptions and data sources, with Studio providing built-in dashboards, audit trails and transparency into AI outputs.

Statements From OneStream and IDC

“Public sector finance leaders need AI-driven agility to navigate a constantly shifting landscape, but they can’t risk acting on insights they can’t trace,” said Tom Shea, Co-Founder and CEO at OneStream. Shea added, citing the company’s recent research, that 47% of executives have made major decisions on inaccurate data and 61% second-guess their numbers monthly, and said bringing the two SensibleAI capabilities under the FedRAMP High authorization would let agencies scale AI on trusted financial data without compromising federal security standards.

Heather Herbst, Research Director, Worldwide CFO Buyer Insights at IDC, said authorizations such as FedRAMP High are key differentiators for vendors able to demonstrate verifiable AI governance rather than simply claim it. She said achieving the High baseline gives CFOs a signal that AI capabilities are backed by rigorous, independently assessed controls.

The Platform’s Federal Footprint

The Government Community Cloud is hosted on Microsoft Azure Government and delivered as a software-as-a-service offering, according to the FedRAMP Marketplace record, which describes the platform as a corporate performance management system supporting financial consolidation, reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting for federal, state, local and tribal governments as well as research institutions and government contractors.

OneStream describes its government platform on its federal solutions page as authorized at FedRAMP High and Defense Department Impact Level 4, which covers controlled unclassified information, and says more than 90 government agencies use the platform for functions including budget formulation and execution, financial close, and workforce planning.

The Birmingham, Michigan-based company describes itself as an AI operating system for modern finance, unifying financial close, planning and operational processes in one platform. It reports more than 1,900 customers, including 16% of the Fortune 500, and 1,600 employees.

SensibleAI Forecast and SensibleAI Studio are available immediately to federal agencies running in the OneStream Government Community Cloud, the company said.
