OneQode announced on October 28, 2026, that it has signed an agreement with AdaniConneX for 14 MW of data center capacity in Siruseri Sipcot, Chennai, India, what the company called its first major AI infrastructure deployment in the country. The companies are also continuing discussions on additional capacity opportunities of up to 114 MW in India, OneQode said.
The Chennai Agreement
OneQode said the Chennai deployment will support large-scale AI training and inference, enterprise AI, and sovereign AI workloads, and that it forms part of the company’s wider Asia-Pacific AI infrastructure expansion alongside its deployment in Thailand. OneQode described AdaniConneX as one of India’s fastest-growing data center providers.
Johnny Blackfield, Chief Growth Officer and President, EMEA & India at OneQode, said working with AdaniConneX gives the company a strong foundation to build at scale in Chennai. “We have secured our initial 14 MW deployment and are continuing discussions with AdaniConneX on additional capacity opportunities of up to 114 MW in India as demand grows,” Blackfield said, citing the country’s infrastructure, competitive operating costs, and room to scale. He described India as an increasingly important global market for AI infrastructure.
In a summary accompanying the announcement, OneQode said the potential expansion of up to 114 MW could generate over US$6 billion in GPU-as-a-service (GPUaaS) total contract value (TCV) revenue for the company. The signed agreement covers the initial 14 MW.
Network Platform and AMD Hardware
OneQode said India’s position between EMEA and Asia-Pacific makes it a strategic location for its global AI infrastructure platform. As inference workloads become increasingly latency-sensitive, the company views India as an important location for serving workloads across both regions, pairing large-scale compute capacity with its own low-latency global carrier network. The Chennai site will connect into this existing infrastructure, which combines high-performance compute with a carrier-grade network and deployment capability across more than 30 data centers on five continents.
OneQode describes itself as a global AI infrastructure operator that designs, builds, owns, and operates compute and network infrastructure for frontier model providers, enterprise buyers, and AI-native companies. Its licensed carrier operations and established compliance framework support sovereign AI deployments in strategic markets.
The Chennai deployment builds on OneQode’s collaboration with AMD, announced on May 26, 2026. Under that collaboration, OneQode plans a phased rollout anchored by AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs in initial deployments and intends to incorporate the AMD Helios rack-scale solution as a platform foundation, running on the open AMD ROCm software stack. OneQode was named an AMD Instinct Cloud Provider in August 2026.
AdaniConneX Background
AdaniConneX is a 50:50 joint venture between Adani Enterprises and EdgeConneX, founded with a stated vision of building an environmentally and socially conscious 1 GW data center infrastructure platform in India. According to the joint venture, it is building hyperscale campuses across India’s major cities and developing edge data center facilities in smaller Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets.
AdaniConneX opened its Chennai 1 hyperscale data center campus in SIPCOT IT Park, Chennai, on November 4, 2022, offering 17 MW of IT load in its initial phase and scaling to 33 MW at full capacity. The campus hosts Tamil Nadu’s first pre-certified IGBC Platinum Rated data center and can be powered with up to 100% renewable energy.
AdaniConneX is also the partner in CoreWeave’s India entry, announced on October 6, 2026. CoreWeave plans 240 MW of data center capacity across three 80 MW buildings at AdaniConneX’s Taloja campus in Navi Mumbai, where it will be the sole tenant, and said it will deploy the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform there. The first phase of that project is expected to be available in mid-2028, with CoreWeave holding an opportunity to double capacity by expanding by up to 240 MW at the campus.
OneQode’s 2026 Buildout
The Chennai agreement extends an infrastructure buildout OneQode has documented through 2026. On July 9, 2026, the company announced it was deploying major AI compute capacity in Chennai and in Bangkok, Thailand, as part of a wider Asia-Pacific expansion, with further capacity to come online across the region through 2026 and 2027. OneQode said the clusters will run AI training and inference, enterprise AI, and sovereign AI workloads for governments, financial services, and research institutions, anchored on AMD Instinct GPUs, and noted that it holds sovereign telecommunications licenses across multiple jurisdictions.
“India and Thailand are just the first two places we’re deploying large AI clusters,” Founder and CEO Matthew Shearing said in the July announcement. “We are open for business across the region, and we intend to move quickly.”
In Europe, OneQode and Bitzero Holdings signed a binding letter on May 5, 2026, covering a 15-year lease for 110 MW of capacity at Bitzero’s site in Namsskogan, in Norway’s NO4 power region, which OneQode described as one of Europe’s most cost-efficient and sustainable power markets. The site is powered by hydroelectric energy. OneQode plans a phased rollout across the full 110 MW and described the agreement as its flagship entry into Europe at scale, with initial commissioning targeted for the first half of 2027.
