The markets held on to some gains in midday trading on Tuesday, as oil prices jumped a bit higher, breaking the $50 handle. Crude prices have edged higher for the fourth consecutive trading session. But as the halfway point for earnings season approaches and the dollar continues to strengthen, investors may need to brace for more volatility.
