President Obama has been pushing his agenda to close the gender wage gap, and he took one step closer to equality by declaring Tuesday as National Equal Pay day. The irony is that there is a gender wage gap at the White House, since women working there earn considerably less than men. Obama signed an executive order on Tuesday to help close the wage gap. Currently, working women earn 77 cents on the dollar and work 3 months more than their male counterparts.
