Norwegian Air Shuttle NWARF is taking on traditional transatlantic carriers like Delta Air Lines DAL , United Airlines UAL and American Airlines AAL , by offering ultra-low fares on flights to Europe from the United States.
The fuel efficient Boeing BA 787 Dreamliner and the 737 MAX allow the airline to pass along the fuel savings to consumers. Fares on its 737 MAX routes can be as low as $100.
That said, expect to pay for perks you might take for granted on traditional carriers like meals and drinks.
