Nissan unveiled its sleek, newly designed 2016 Maxima at the New York International Auto Show. Fred Diaz, Sr. Vice President for Nissan Sales and Marketing at Nissan North America, says the Maxima features several design and safety innovations, including a system that detects when drivers are getting drowsy on the road. Diaz tells TheStreet’s Rhonda Schaffler there is no reason why Nissan can’t continue to break sales records in North America. Diaz also said Nissan sees good promise for its electric car the Leaf going forward, despite a short term impact on sales due to lower gas prices.
