Nike (NKE) reported fourth quarter earnings after the bell on Thursday that beat Wall street estimates. The sportswear giant is also expecting a future revenue boost from its exclusive NBA partnership and sponsorship presence at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Shares were trading up after the retailer posted earnings of $0.98 per share, smashing the predicted $0.83 per share. Revenue also came in higher than expected at $7.78 billion, up from last year’s $7.42 billion. Micron technology (MU) also reported earnings after the bell but missed estimates. The semiconductor company experienced market headwinds and particular weakness in the PC sector. The manufacturer posted earnings of $0.42, missing the predicted $0.57 per share. Revenue also disappointed, coming in at $3.85 billion. The company has struggled with stagnant revenue growth and declining margins over the last few quarters due to weak product demand. The company also suffered from weak exchange rates and the 10 percent drop in DRAM selling prices. Despite the earnings miss, Micron shares were trading up in after hours.
