New York City officials ‘confident’ high-rise building is stable

New York City officials said that they are “confident” that the high-rise building which prompted evacuations after steel beams were seen buckling is stable. Residents described “chaotic” scenes as blocks in the vicinity were evacuated immediately following the discovery of the compromised beams.
