New data from the FBI is showing a major drop in violent crime. For January to March of this year, violent crime fell 15.2 percent compared to the same period in 2023 — a decline that Attorney General Merrick Garland is calling “historic.” NBC News’ Tom Costello has a closer look at what’s driving the trend.
