Facebook (FB) was the best performer on the Nasdaq Tuesday. The social network managed to surpass Walmart (WMT) in market cap value just three years after going public. Facebook is now worth nearly $240 billion dollars to Walmart’s $234 billion. Stocks closed barely higher on Tuesday, but enough for the Nasdaq to notch a record close for the second time this week. Crude oil closed at $61 a barrel, a fresh two-week high, in a rally characterized by analysts as a technical bounce. AT&T (T) was among the best performers on the S&P 500 after Barclays upgraded the stock. Analysts said the closing of the DirecTV (DTV) deal would prove a significant boon to earnings.
