Auto shoppers are using mobile devices more than ever to find the car of their dreams, says Avi Steinlauf, CEO of Edmunds.com. Steinlauf says shoppers are not always seeking out the cheapest vehicle with 64% of buyers saying time and price are of equal importance. He says shoppers on average will visit two dealers and take two test drives. On that score, Steinlauf says 80% of shoppers who take test drives will purchase a car within two weeks. Finally, Steinlauf says the recall controversy is not affecting GM shoppers and he says Tesla is worth the hype if price and range are not an issue.
