Microsoft announced the Surface Pro 3 tablet at an event in New York City on Wednesday. CEO Satya Nadella unveiled the tablet but noted that Microsoft will not focus on building tons of hardware devices. Instead, he wants to build products that bring all of Microsoft’s offerings – cloud, hardware, and software – together. Customers will have a choice of an Intel i3 to i7 processor and 4 or 8GB of RAM. The Surface Pro 3 also comes with 64, 128, 256, and 512GB of internal storage. Microsoft’s Panos Panay says that 96% of Apple iPad owners also have a laptop because tablets lend themselves to content consumption, not production.
