US stock futures point to a higher open ahead of earnings data, while European markets are mixed at midday. Shares of Tesla’s are down 10 percent after the company missed sales estimates. Homeaway is flat before the open but is expected to report a profit of 16 cents per share. Yesterday reports emerged of candidates to replace outgoing Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, including ex-Skype boss Tony Bates and Ford CEO Alan Mulally. Microsoft is up 38% year to date.
