Mixed earnings saw the Dow and Nasdaq close lower, though the S&P 500 was able to post a gain. Weak homes sales and factory data indicate that the Fed may continue monetary stimulus, but also indicates a negative economic trend. Burger King, Dendreon, and JC Penney stocks all moved up, while Merck slipped after revenue fell short. Apple reports after the bell, with iPhone sales expected to increase.
