Streamline, stablize and simplify. Those are the key mantras of Seth Merrin, Founder & CEO of Liquidnet. Merrin says that market structure needs an overhaul, investors have lost confidence and that the system has been destabilized. ‘We have to make it safe for all investors to be able to participate,’ he explains. But creating a level playing field is not a straightforward task. Merrin argues that Dark Pools should not compete with exchanges and flags Australia and Canada as progressive regulation leaders.
