The head of Ford’s Lincoln brand says he’s pleased with early sales of the new 2017 Continental, saying September exceeded expectations. Kumar Galhotra, president of Lincoln, says the brand is growing its customer base and bringing in consumers who haven’t bought a Lincoln before. Galhotra points out that while the overall luxury market is down about 1% in sales so far this year, Lincoln sales are up 8% and he’s expecting a good fourth quarter for the company. Looking out to 2017, Galhotra sees more upside for the Lincoln brands. TheStreet’s Rhonda Schaffler has details from Wall Street.
