J.P. Morgan (JPM) Funds’ global markets strategist David Lebovitz says the markets are waiting for a catalyst. That’s a markets moving event that pushes stocks higher or lower. The S&P 500 hit a record close of 2,122.73 on Friday, leaving investors wondering just how much room for growth is left, as the broad index has returned about 3 percent since the start of the year. Lebovitz thinks stocks can eke out a gain of a few more percentage points through the rest of the year. He also shares insight on the Federal Reserve’s looming policy shift – the central bank is looking to raise short-term interest rates, which have remained close to zero for over six years.
