Today marks the ninth anniversary of Jim Cramer’s rant on CNBC during the early days of the financial crisis, before Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearns failed, when he loudly pleaded with the Federal Reserve to take action. During the outburst, Cramer screamed that ‘the Fed is asleep.’ In retrospect, Cramer says while he was correct in his assessment, the rant was poorly received by the Fed, the media and his colleagues. Additionally, Cramer said he embarrassed his family.
