Tens of thousands of users reported outages across Spotify, the popular music streaming app, on Wednesday morning.
More than 45,000 reports of issues poured in by approximately 9:30 a.m. ET, according to DownDetector.com, which tracks site outages.
The majority of user reports concerned issues related to the Spotify app, though some also reported glitches on the website.
“We’re aware of some issues right now and are checking them out!” Spotify wrote in a post on X.
Frustrated users complained about repeated outages on Spotify, with some vowing to switch platforms.
“Literally just downloaded SoundCloud as compensation,” one user wrote on the DownDetector site. “Good option even with ads, I need my music in some sort of form if Spotify can’t provide anymore.”
