It’s Federal Reserve decision day. The Governors wrap up a two day meeting and will issue a policy statement on interest rates and the economy later today. Most economists believe it will remove the word “patient” from its statement, indicating an interest rate hike later this year, perhaps as early as June. Oracle is the latest U.S. company to be hurt by the strong U.S. dollar. Oracle posted a tiny increase in profit in the recent quarter. Adobe’s results were also disappointing as it creative cloud subscriptions were disappointing. Also today, Visa splits shares 4 for 1 and FedEx reports its quarterly results.
