U.S. market lifts up after Europe and Asia ticked higher on strong manufacturing data out of China. Initial jobless claims rose to 326,000, though the 4-week moving average inches lower. Best Buy reported less-than-expected sales and absorbed its 9th quarterly revenue decline. Dollar Tree reported better than expected earnings and shares are trading up. Natural gas price moves little this morning after the $400 billion deal between Russia and China. Investors are also keeping an eye on McDonald’s. The company’s annual meeting is today and minimum wage protests continue to weigh on the fast food giant.
