TheStreet’s Jim Cramer is keeping an eye on GE’s (GE) investor meeting Thursday to discuss the company’s recent acquisition of Alstom’s power & grid business. The meeting is set for 8:30a.m. Eastern. Cramer says, ‘this is a company that is for the digital industrial age and about climate change, about having the right portfolio for this moment, I think the stock can go up ahead of the analyst meeting.’ Shares of GE are up nearly 20 percent year-to-date. Separately, TheStreet Quant Ratings rates General Electric a BUY. This is driven by multiple strengths, which we believe should have a greater impact than any weaknesses, and should give investors a better performance opportunity than most stocks we cover. The company’s strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its expanding profit margins and solid stock price performance.
