Google’s Gemini 3.5 Flash is extremely fast, but my hands-on tests got more complicated than the benchmarks. I tried creative writing, the new Gemini interface, Spark, Anti-Gravity 2.0, voxel coding tests, and a cursed lemon-globe water simulation against GPT 5.5 and Opus 4.7. The short version: Gemini 3.5 Flash looks great for speed and quick everyday use, but GPT 5.5 kept looking stronger when the task needed detail, debugging, and follow-through.
