Peter Welch, D-Vt., questioned FBI Director Kash Patel over his decision to announce over social media that “the subject” in Charlie Kirk’s killing was “in custody” and then posting 90 minutes later that “the subject” was released. Patel said that he did not believe a mistake was made, but that he could have been “more careful” in his “verbiage.”
