I used Claude Opus 5.5 to build Tornado Redemption, a free tornado mod for Red Dead Redemption 2. Arthur, Micah, horses and wagons get swept up, with different tornado styles, a tornado gun and a jet powered balloon to play with.
Here’s the finished mod, the funniest playtests, and how I built it with Claude Code: explain the idea, record myself testing it, give Claude the footage and feedback, then improve the next version. You can download the mod and its source below.

INSTALL UPDATE: It’s called NadoTest in the video, but the released version is Tornado Redemption. Copy TornadoRedemption.asi and TornadoRedemption.ini into your RDR2 game folder, alongside ScriptHookRDR2.dll AND dinput8.dll from Script Hook RDR2. Remove the old NadoTest.asi if upgrading so both versions don’t load together.

PC Story Mode only. Back up your saves; do not use it in Red Dead Online. Try the Low PC preset if performance struggles.
