Hyundai US CEO Dave Zuchowski says his top priority for 2014 will be getting the automaker ‘back on a growth path.’ After a couple of years of market share increases, Hyundai saw a slight decline in its share in 2013 after global supply constraints were not able to keep up with customer demand. Zuchowski says Hyundai is adding capacity through operational efficiencies at its Alabama and Georgia plants and will be getting more cars from its Korean manufacturing facilities to meet demand in 2014. At the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, Hyundai launched the newly-revamped Genesis and said later this year it will unveil a new version of the Sonata. Zuchowski says Hyundai will have a few new cars to unveil in 2015 and 2016 and those should go toward help the automaker get its Mojo back after the successful launches of the Elantra and the Sonata three years ago. TheStreet’s Ruben Ramirez reports from Detroit.
