HP introduces its new open source cloud products and services platform, called HP Helion, which will be available globally in 27 countries. The company plans on investing more than a billion dollars into the Helion portfolio over the next two years and they want to expand Helion’s global reach on cloud-related product and engineering initiatives as well as professional services. HP is positioning itself to go toe-to-toe with Microsoft and Amazon for cloud-computing engineers.
