Author, philanthropist and entrepreneur Christopher Kai knows how to network. He wrote the book ‘Big Game Hunting’ to tell everyone how to employ his strategy. He built both his charity and his roster of professional contacts by networking. What’s the biggest mistake people make when networking? Not doing enough research on who is at what conference. And they often walk away without contact information, which is fatal considering most business stems from that first meeting. Kai says to target the big fish only, and employ his three-second rule when you approach them to make sure you stand out. His biggest fish of all time caught by networking? He tells us how he landed Tesla’s (TSLA) Elon Musk and what happened next.
