For the week ahead, we note the key earnings and economic data to start off the first full week of 2015. The 114th Congress will convene on Tuesday. New Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says his chamber will vote first on approving the Keystone XL pipeline project. It’s a light week on the earnings front. We look to agricultural products company Monsanto (MON) and home goods retailer Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY). On this week’s economic calendar, we get the non-manufacturing index, crude oil inventory figures, the Federal Open Market Committee minutes, and the employment situation.
