AT&T’s proposed $85 billion acquisition of Time Warner shows how powerful content creators are, according to one expert. Josh Mahony, a market analyst with IG Markets, based in London, says the deal reflects the desire for media companies to compete with streaming giants Netflix and Amazon . Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said he would block the deal if he were in office. TheStreet’s Scott Gamm reports from Wall Street.
