Hegseth says Iran war will cost $37.5 billion

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told senators that he estimates the Iran war has cost the U.S. military $37.5 billion so far. That estimate is an increase from the $28 billion quoted in the spring, before a ceasefire went into effect. NBC News reported this month that some experts and officials have put the overall cost for the war at $80 billion to $100 billion.
