Grupo Financiero Inbursa Adopts Harvey Across Its Legal Organization – Unite.AI
ShareShareShareShareShare

Grupo Financiero Inbursa, one of Mexico’s largest financial institutions, has deployed Harvey’s legal AI platform across its legal team, Harvey announced on September 7, 2026. The rollout covers the group’s litigation operations first, with further legal workflows scheduled to follow as adoption widens across the organization.

The Mexico City-based financial group is using the platform to modernize legal operations and enable its lawyers to work more efficiently across complex legal matters, according to the announcement. Harvey said the deployment is intended to help the legal team build more systematic, scalable operations while allowing attorneys to spend more time on strategic judgment and higher-value work.

Litigation Workloads Lead the Rollout

Inbursa’s litigation team is the first internal group to use the platform. The team is applying Harvey to help manage thousands of court and regulatory notices each year, analyze litigation matters, and prepare for oral proceedings, the announcement states.

As adoption expands across the legal organization, Harvey is expected to support additional workflows. These include M&A due diligence, regulatory analysis, contract review, and other high-impact legal work, according to the company.

The deployment followed in-depth workshops with Inbursa’s legal team in Mexico City. Those sessions were used to identify the highest-impact opportunities across the organization before the platform went into production use.

Statements From Inbursa and Harvey

Sergio Humberto Reyes Valdovinos, Subdirector Jurídico Contencioso II at Grupo Financiero Inbursa, said the legal team handles increasingly complex work across the organization and was looking for technology that could help it operate more efficiently while maintaining the standards the business expects. He said Harvey is helping the team systematize key legal workflows, reduce manual work, and give lawyers more time to focus on strategic judgment.

Winston Weinberg, Co-Founder and CEO of Harvey, said the most forward-looking financial institutions are adopting AI to help legal teams make better, more informed decisions rather than simply working faster. He described Inbursa’s deployment as reflecting that approach, beginning with complex legal workflows where Harvey can have the greatest impact. Weinberg added that Harvey’s growing Mexico City team has worked closely with Inbursa and is supporting the continued expansion of the platform across the legal organization.

JP Sánchez, Enterprise Account Executive at Harvey, said being on the ground in Mexico City allows the company to collaborate closely throughout implementation, better understand customer needs, and help them realize value from Harvey more quickly.

Harvey’s Regional Presence and Platform

Alongside the Inbursa deployment, Harvey said it is expanding its team in Mexico City as the company continues to grow across Latin America. The expanded local team is intended to work more closely with customers across the region.

Harvey builds domain-specific AI for legal and professional services. According to its company page, its products cover workflows including contract analysis, due diligence, compliance, and litigation, and the platform is used by more than 2,400 customers in more than 70 countries, including more than 75 AmLaw 100 firms. Harvey lists Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, GV, the OpenAI Startup Fund, Coatue, Andreessen Horowitz, and EQT among its investors.

On its platform overview, Harvey describes components including Agents, which execute multi-step legal work and deliver cited results; Vault, for storing, organizing, and bulk-analyzing legal documents; and Knowledge, for researching legal, regulatory, and tax questions across domains. The company reports that more than 200,000 lawyers use the platform, with more than 850,000 queries run per day and more than 50 million files processed per day. Harvey also states the platform works inside tools including Word, Outlook, iManage, web browsers, email, and a mobile app.

Grupo Financiero Inbursa is a financial holding company listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange. According to its issuer profile on the exchange, the group was incorporated on September 29, 1992, and listed on February 22, 1993. The profile describes Inbursa as a holding company for financial entities whose operations include Banco Inbursa, Seguros Inbursa, pension fund manager Afore Inbursa, brokerage house Inversora Bursátil, and other regulated financial entities. Its corporate offices are located on Paseo de las Palmas in the Lomas de Chapultepec district of Mexico City.
