What if you never had to drive behind the smog-producing school bus ever again? Green-tech charter and city bus developer and manufacturer GreenPower Motor Co. wants to make that the norm with their lineup of electric powered buses.
Executive Chairman Fraser Atkinson told TheStreet at the LD Micro Conference in Los Angeles that his company is making enormous strides in turning that dream into a reality.
The firm, which Fraser said is doing just fine even as Tesla Inc. TSLA continues its move in commercial electrification, has just met two milestones. It’s inked a deal with the L.A. Unified school district, the largest in the state of California, to supply electrified buses to the district. GreenPower also notched a deal with Victoria, British Columbia to offer a number of its high-tech green buses for commercial use.
Plus, GreenPower is the only developer and manufacturer of all-electric transit buses, school buses and shuttle buses. Looks like green is just the start for this company.
