When Lauren Stevens was assigned a new work phone number at her job in the San Francisco Bay Area, she kept getting texts for someone named “Verndawg.” But when she researched the number, she discovered “Verndawg” was really Wernher Krutein, a renowned photographer who spent more than 60 years traveling the world with his camera.
