GM’s new CEO Mary Barra says her focus in 2014 will be to keep the momentum going and continue to build strong brands. Barra says her focus will also continue to be on operating profitably in every market around the globe in which the automaker operates and maintaining a fortress balance sheet. Barra says she understands the auto industry is a cyclical business. Separately, Barra says the pickup truck market is incredibly important to GM but that it also sees some opportunities to reach a different demographic with the Cadillac ATS coupe. TheStreet’s Ruben Ramirez reports from New York.
