In his efforts to build something off the court, Jonathan Bender, a former center and power forward who played 8 seasons in the National Basketball Association, invented the JB Intensive Trainer, which aims to reduce joint pain and for aiding in rehabilitation efforts. He also created the JBIT Leopard Sport, which is geared toward more intensive workout routines and rehabilitation efforts from athletes. Ultimately, Bender’s company, JB3 Innovations, was acquired by ISGP, a green technology company aimed at improving the world we live in. It’s a wholly owned subsidy, ISG Health, which Bender is now the president of, and it aims to ‘develop and distribute innovative sports medicine devices and algae-based nutritional products.’ While algae may be commonly known, it hasn’t been widely viewed as a supplement for athletes and highly active individuals. ‘This industry is huge,’ he said in regards to its potential. It’s a new product for these athletes to use and try in their workouts. It’s a new solution to helping with joint pain, Bender concluded.
