Robert Mueller, the former FBI director and special counsel who oversaw the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, has died at the age of 81. NBC News’ Julie Tsirkin reports that President Donald Trump posted in a statement on social media that he was quote “glad” about Mueller’s death.
