When singer-songwriter-dancer Jason Derulo talks investments, it’s not about Wall Street. At least, not for now.
“Right now, I’m investing in only in things that are in my wheelhouse—clothing, fashion and real estate,” he told TheStreet in an interview when asked about whether he owned stocks and followed Wall Street.
Derulo was speaking at a Bloomingdale’s (owned by Macy’s Inc M ) in New York City at an event to launch a new clothing line coined LVL XIII, crafted by designer Antonio Brown, of which the singer is a spokesman.
The Miami-born entertainer, whose songs include Swalla, Want to Want Me and Whatcha Say, may have a net worth of $10 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, but any extra isn’t going into public companies.
He also said he’s “cheap” and wouldn’t buy Apple Inc.’s AAPL new iPhone X until the price slips from the reported $1,000 plus to $850.
