For investors in automakers, the annual North American International Auto Show in Detroit is a key forecast of what companies are set to prevail in the marketplace. Here are the five most important vehicles from this year’s show. The star of Ford’s exhibit was its new F150 full-size pick-up truck, which has been the best-selling vehicle in the U.S. for 32 years. Infiniti’s Q60 coupe is a concept car, which means the sleek design is still subject to change before it goes into production, eventually replacing the Infiniti G-series coupe in 2016. But reception of the vehicle will be important to watch to gauge whether Nissan succeeds with refreshing its portfolio and elevating its Infiniti brand. The Audi Q7 will be key for Volkswagen, as it seeks to climb to the top of the luxury market.
