Financials Continue to Roll Out Numbers as Early Earnings Have Been Disappointing

Investment banks Citigroup and Bank of America will lead off with early earnings today, plus homebuilder Lennar before the opening bell. After markets close, more earnings are on the way from chipmaker Intel, which is sporting some serious growth on the strength of three straight beats, and Blackrock, which looks to reverse the poor trend for financials to start the New Year. Finally, Jim Cramer is weighing in with an Action Alert Pick he has boosted his position in — it’s Mastercard, lagging Visa last year, but Cramer says it could take off from the low $80s up to $96 dollars a share.
