Fiat says it will buy the remaining 41.5% stake in Chrysler it does not already own for $4.35B from the United Auto Workers trust. The Deal’s Andrew Bulkeley reports the deal gives Sergio Marchionne, who is the CEO of both companies, to power to combine both automakers operations. The UAW trust received the stake in Chrysler as part of the automaker’s government-led bankruptcy in 2009. The deal is expected to close by Jan. 20.
