Regulated drug tests in emergency rooms are only required to check for the “federal five:” marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, opioids and PCP, not fentanyl. California is the first state to require fentanyl screening. NBC News’ Maura Barrett reports on why some believe this could save lives.
