Federal judge rejects Ghislaine Maxwell’s request to toss sex trafficking conviction

A federal judge rejected Ghislaine Maxwell’s request to overturn a sex trafficking conviction for which she received a 20-year prison sentence. Maxwell, who represented herself, challenged her December 2021 conviction and sentence in Manhattan ​federal court, and sought a writ ​of habeas corpus declaring her punishment unlawful.
