Forget the Ring Dings and Hawaiian Punch, today’s kids are finding much healthier options in their lunch boxes, said Stew Leonard, Jr. CEO of Stew Leonard’s. Leonard said the back-to-school shopping trends are heavy on organics as opposed to the processed and packaged offerings of the past. Multi-grain bread, natural potato chips and even sushi are among the items that parents will be stocking up on ahead of the school year, according to Leonard. And forget about those sugary cereals for breakfast. Rainbow bagels are now the rage!
