Billionaire Elon Musk wants to crush Tesla short-sellers. Clearly that’s the takeaway from Musk’s latest stock purchase. Further, by pumping up Tesla’s stock Musk is making it easier to raise capital.
Meanwhile, the stock market is hanging tough despite a host of fresh concerns. A more hawkish Federal Reserve under chair Jerome Powell is one of them. So is a slowing China before the Trump administration hits the country with more tariffs.
