Vice President Kamala Harris used reported comments about Donald Trump by John Kelly, his former chief of staff, to ramp up her claims that the former president is unfit to serve. In an interview with The New York Times, Kelly called Trump “an authoritarian” and claimed Trump made complimentary statements about Adolf Hitler. The Trump campaign says he never made the comments. Former President Donald Trump campaigned in battleground Georgia as his campaign criticized President Biden for saying of Trump, “We gotta lock him up. Politically lock him out.” The White House said the president made it clear he was referring to defeating Trump — locking him out politically. NBC News’ Garrett Haake reports.
The Justice Department has sent a letter to Elon Musk’s super PAC with a warning about Musk’s offer to give away a million dollars to people who pledge to support First and Second Amendment rights and are registered voters, according to a source familiar with the matter.
