It looks like there could be a correlation between the best performing stocks over the last five years, and the best companies to work for. Glassdoor found employees who genuinely like coming to work every day have a positive impact on a company’s stock performance. Here’s a quick look at the top five companies on the list. Starting the list at number five, Continental Airlines. The airline merged with its parent company, United Airlines in 2010, and their stock price return over five years is more than 460%. Coming in at number four, Salesforce. The cloud computing company kept their employees happy over the past few years, and their stock price return is almost 600%. Number three on the list is Apple. The tech giant’s stock price return over the past five years is more than 750%. At number two, Whole Foods. The popular supermarket chain’s stock price return is a whopping 921%. And number one on the list, Netflix. The video streaming website has been on the rise the past few years. Its stock price return is 1044%. And rounding out the top 10 companies are Nordstrom, American Express, Marriott, Intuit, and Nike. TheStreet’s Jon Kostakopoulos reports from New York.
